At present, we are in an era where information is everywhere, new technologies are everywhere, data is everywhere, and competition is everywhere. Scientific instruments are no longer just logistical support during difficult times, but also special commodities with information characteristics. The information resources of scientific instruments are also resources for scientific innovation.

For this reason, Mr. Yan Chengde has put forward three personal suggestions to everyone present: firstly, to implement bottom line thinking to the end. Researchers should always maintain a sense of crisis in the times, focus on the worst, make the most adequate preparations, work towards the best direction, and strive for the best results. The second is to firmly believe in innovative development. Scientific research requires innovation, and making scientific instruments requires innovation even more. Researchers should make good use of material information resources, never forget to study and learn, and constantly criticize themselves. Thirdly, always maintain the original intention of scientific research. Correctly understand scientific instruments, be prepared to shoulder the responsibility of contributing to the country, and firmly shoulder the heavy burden of national development.
